Understanding Gen 2 3.0 TDI

While educating myself on my new to me '13 Q7 I came across this extremely helpful service training material.

It lists specs for the 3.0 V6 TDI, engine code CRCA. What I could find shows that it is fundamentally the same as the CNRB in the '13-on Q's. Can anyone confirm that?
