Dies in reverse automatic

From the start:
the torque converter lockup was constantly on so it would die in forward or reverse.
Changed the valve body sunday it work great!! drove 25 miles stop go fine/highway

Monday: it dies in reverse like it used to yet forward it does not. (seems like more of a computer problem now) ideas

2001 jetta tdi 01M automatic.

4th gear on the highway its like its in N get up to 60mph and have nothing

looks like it needs a transmission. unless TCM ideas?
