Princess doesn't sell it anymore and I already have the bearing.

It is getting LOUD and I really need to get on this.

Help would be very much appreciated.

If you're in a bind, Canadian tire has kits you can "borrow"; you pay for it, then return it.

No, seriously, that's their version of loan a tool... great selection too.

I haven't done bearings in a long time, and most were integral to the hub - a disposable unit containing the bearing. Friends of mine just take their hubs off and take them to a local machine shop where they can easily remove and install the new bearing. This usually costs around $50.

So don't you disassemble the hub and then use a press to change? not a puller  . I know a garage may have bent my hub when they just hammered away at it rather than using a press.:(

The "puller" is a series of plates/hub you use. it pushes on the outer edge of the knuckle while it "pulls" the bearing through in the middle.

Part Source loans it out for free as well. both CT and PS have the "power built" stuff.

FYI, I had a lot of troubles pulling/pressing the bearing into place. when I was doing my alignment, the shop said my bearing wasn't in all the way and the my wheel was wobbling and can't do the alignment. they use a similar pulling/pressing thing to push it in.

the upshot of using the tool was that the knuckle can stay in the car (do not have to remove the ball joint) and don't need to do an alignment. I know ppl spray paint the bolts locations, but I haven't been able to pop the ball joint out of the knuckle without damaging the sleeves either:(

Does Canadian Tire keep the FWD 23 Piece Wheel Bearing Adapter set anymore? I don't see it in the list but it was a couple years ago.

Anyone have something like this in the hamilton or Grey bruce area?

No, Canadian tire nor part source carry it anymore.

Princess auto does not sell it last time I checked (few months ago)

Only option is amazon.ca or go to harbour freight in the USA
