Bentley Manual?

So I'm eyeing off getting one, and had a chance to peruse the 2 volume set, 1999-2005, that includes the PD. Obviously a great resource and something I need and would use.

But there is a smaller and cheaper version that covers the 1999-2000
Jetta and Golf. Both versions cover the ALH TDI.

Is there any additional information in the larger, and twice the price,
version that would be relevant to my "02?

NB! Further digging and I found a Bentley Manual that covers the 1999-2003 Jetta, Golf, GTI. $54 shipped.
A bit more than the Ebay offering for 1999-2000 at $45, but I should be covered for my "02.

Sounds like you answered your own question.

I bought the 99 to 05 one to be safe.

I find that sometimes just asking the question leads to the answer.

Yep, that's the one I ordered, it's on its way.

Thanks for the link, I hunted around but couldn't come up with one.
While PDFs are great, and the price is right, I find having a book is
much easier to use and browse. Call me old school, lol, I was an English major, having the printed page is an advantage IMO.

You got the right one at a good price. No good freebies out there. Bentley also has an electronic version that contains a tad more info, but it requires Windows XP or emulation, and it's not easily portable. Some public libraries carry these books as well.

personally i would pay the extra bux and get the one that covers the whole mk4 just in case you get a different car or work on a buddy's car.
