Axle flange seal leaking...I think

In preparing to do the DSG fluid change I came upon a nice puddle of fluid when I removed the belly pan...the fluid is clear almost yellow like a differential fluid. The leak seems to becoming form the axle flange seal of the driver's side cv axle (see pic below).

Is this DSG fluid or does the transaxle have diff. fluild? In my search the seal appears to be part no. 02M301189B. Can someone confirm that is correct?

Well it turned out to be brake fluid. When I pulled the airbox and battery try to change the transmission filter there was huge puddle of brake fluid. The reservoir overflowed when I pushed the calipers back to replace brake pads. I am glad that I have discovered that before removing the axle...
