Volvo 2.5tdi (audi engine)

Howdy running a stock 2.5tdi audi 5 cylinder tdi at the moment.
What is there i can do to increase power on this unit.
Looking for something that is cheap, uncomplicated and fast to do ?

Looking for about 200 BHP from it or there abouts.

You experience would be greatly appreciated.

It definitely has a Bosch ECU, IIRC it should be MSA 15.8, the same as mine is.

MSA15.7 in older and MSA15.8 in the round corner one. For 200hp I would change the turbo and nozzles and make a good remap. There is plenty of room behind the engine to fit any turbo you like.

Hi,
can you suggest
which turbo unit ?
and which injectors ?
Remap by who ?

Will the turbo be a standard swap fit ie no mafucturing new oil feed and return pipes etc etc.

I am pretty capable engineering wise iie could remove engine and do a full rebuild shells pistons etc etc so nothing should be beyond my capabilties.
But i do not have a garage or workshop so i need to work in street and obviously with no garage my ability to fabricate is a bit more limited.

Hi there thanks for that. My V70 is the first of the MK2 series and housed the 2.5 audi engine before the put the volvo D5 in.

There aren't any PnP options available that are worth the money so some fabrication will be needed. Or incorporating some other VW manifold that has the right flange for your new turbo.

There are lots of different turbos that could support your powergoa. HX27 or HE221 for instance. The HE is capable of 280bhp in 2.5TDI. They are very small which helps with the install. Oil and exhaust would have to be custom.

As for nozzles I would get 5 hole R520. They work and flow plenty for that power.

For the remap you need someone who knows how to work with modified cars. The basic generic files don't work at all and it will need to be a custom job.

I did 230 hp with 0.240mm dss nozzles and turbo + soft.
ask reisser maybe he got a pnp turbo for you. nozzles you can find a bundle, just don't go for cheap rubbish.
I don't know if you have VNT or non-VNT (I suppose it is a non-VNT turbo).
