LOL, need more time.

Having a discussion with someone about them, trying to find out what it can do before a dyno, lol.

Any Garrett map for a 49mm compressor with the same trim and A/R will be pretty close. The model designation "GTC1549VZ" doesn't give any information for matching the exact map. There are literally dozens of maps, if not more, for 49mm Garrett compressors.

Put it on so we can dyno it already :p
Here is a link to my low smoke dyno run with the GTC1549VZ:

http://pics.tdiclub.com/showphoto.p...c1549vz-162hp-285lb-ft-low-smoke-tune&cat=500

Link to my higher smoke, higher torque dyno run:

http://pics.tdiclub.com/data/500/GTC1549VZ_Hi_Smoke_171hp_313lb-ft_tune_graph2.pdf

Both cases boost is held to about 25 lbs with std head bolts. There is more power to be had with stronger head bolts.

The "high smoke" tune will slip the clutch in some situations with 313 lb/ft.
So no point for me to push the engine limits right now.

Thanks! Have a few people running these, but want to test it on our dynapack to be thorough. Every dyno reads differently, so building a nice database around ours. Stock PD head bolts will be fine for 26-28 PSI, which is what we'll be pushing through the motor.

Here's a stage 3.5 CR run, very close to EGT limiter http://i68.tinypic.com/2m2vy52.jpg

Wanted to crack 200, shouldn't be a problem if giving up a bunch down low so there's more room for heat up top, but that's not exactly useful for normal driving. This dyno seems to be somewhat accurate, but in house testing is always best as the dynapacks are way more accurate. Have done ~150 pulls on a 2012 abarth and with the same tune on varying days was within about 0.8% of each other with minor variance in AIT and ambient temp. Could do 6 runs and just line them up over each other, which is saying something for a little 1.4L with that silly valvetrain system.

Hoping to hit at least 180HP/300lb-ft on the dyno, about what a stock CR140 will do. Needs a cam for better top end ;)
