Amen. And I have just deleted a number of posts that were not relevant.

I have (for now) opted to leave Mechanized's post above, because it pertains to the topic immediately at hand ... a shop (the same one ...) evidently screwing up and then refusing to make good unless evidence of the screw-up is removed.

I disagree vehemently with that method of operation. Businesses have to be held accountable for their actions. Removing evidence of errors doesn't act in the interest of doing so. EVERYONE makes mistakes and I make no exception for myself in this regard. The difference is in how they handle the situation. In my view, the ball is in Exclusiv's court to MAKE THAT FIRST PAYMENT. And eventually, make FULL repayment. But it is between the two parties involved to come to an understanding of how that is to happen. If it is impossible to come to such an understanding, then the evidence stands.

Remember, an absolute and complete defence for "libel" / "slander" etc ... is the TRUTH. If what is stated is the truth ... then there is no libel or slander.

Ryan-- I've had a few customers burn up some very expensive gearboxes due to not filling with oil, even disregarding the pink "No oil tag" we put on every gearbox. Unfortunatley when you idiot proof something a better idiot always comes along.

Brock supply sells them and they aren't expensive.

http://www.brocksupply.com/search/detail/itemid/ADS2737

If they won't send to the UK I can also post you some.

Ryan, somehow I have a feeling that if you lived within driving distance of this guy he'd have already given you your $$... This is a case of out of country, out of mind.

Ryan,

Flying up there to kick his ass and get paid and spending every penny he owes / gives you to buy your ticket home is well worth the effort IMO.

You will still prob end up with exactly the same money in your hands when you get home $0. BUT it is sooo worth it.

BY the way, have you got a hybrid sump in hand (or can source one easily??) Pm me pls.. (I'm the guy from Malta who bought the bora sport clocks of you end March)

Guys,

Just a quick update, Derek and I have finally come to an agreement on a way forward, as part of that agreement, I have removed some of my posts.
This thread will remain, as I, Derek and the moderators all agree that it serves as a warning to everyone to check their oil level.

I will keep everyone updated on the progress, but hopefully this is the beginning of the end of this long story.

Thanks

Ryan

HURRAH

I have been informed by RyanP that the issue is in the process of being resolved.

This thread is being locked pending editing. I would rather not delete it, as the underlying message (and in the thread title!) is still a worthwhile one. But, editing it will be a massive and time-consuming undertaking.

Locked for now.

Just as an update to all the watchers here, I had to have the topic reopened as Derek is now ignoring my emails

The last payment i had was the 7th June and I am still owed £661 GBP.

Last communication with Derek was the 26th July when he said I was a 'priority'.

I am very disappointed in the way Derek has handled this whole affair, and he is basically blaming me for sending his business under. Nothing to do with his shoddy workmanship, terrible customer service and all round bad attitude?

I hope I can get this resolved

I've given the guy nearly $600 when it was available... I do have bills and other commitments too. He could have easily taken that money and bought:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GOLF-MK4-...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5ae14557a0

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Gala...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item256756919e

or

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/golf-mk5-...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item336b339cb9

and be right back where he started (probably already has actually) instead he wants me to pay 3x that for a tranny he's posted pictures of on the net that he blames me for.. I told you Ryan I am not willing to help you if internet terrorism is your game. I will not participate in forum drama either.

Hi ryan - the only reason (and I mean ONLY) that Derek helped you out is because the local news station here was running a story on him. And I gave them some insight to Derek's misdealing of customers. He contacted you to reconcile the SAME DAY that Channel 12 (Local TV Station here in Phoenix, AZ) showed up to ask him some questions about WHY on WHY could he not finish work on my Cabriolet over the course of two years.

Coincidence? LOL I think NOT!http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5306991-hmmmmm&highlight=hmmmmm

Since this all went down I had to call the cops to escort my car out of his shop (because I knew he wasn't going to give it up willingly) But when the police showed up with my original "PAID IN FULL" Invoice Derek couldn't argue with law enforcement. I took the car over to another shop - where the engine work was completed in two months.

Just got to take your business to all the right people man. Don't take it to the hacks of this community.

Derek,

Funny you email back once i start my 'terrorism' but ignore me otherwise.

Why are you still arguing about the costs? Did you factor in the £300 shipping + £100 to ship for Diagnosis... I could go on. You have been dishonest from the start and lucky for you on vortex you have some ass lickers to clear your mess up quickly.

2 of those boxes are wrong and one is from a wreckers 100+ miles away, i tend not to buy from breakers any more as they sell me crap like you put out of your shop door.

I've lost all hope for any more money so hopefully this costs you more in the long run as payback.

Glad you got it sorted in the end, i imagine there were lots of stuff wrong that the other shop picked up on too?

Thats how they do it on vortex. You rip any one you want off on that web site and the mods will help you by deleting any negative. Especially if your a registered vendor.

Derek has also refused to pay any more money because i'm not sympathetic enough it seems.

Not true. I simply said I cannot help you if this is how you want to proceed. You keep saying you receive so much negative info about me.. however if you search "Exklusiv" on these very forums you find nothing but positive reviews. I admit Im not perfect but after 4300+ invoices closed in 7 years I can count on one hand the people that couldnt be pleased. Mechanized is one of them - I can post a screen shot of his invoice and a list of $2000 in parts I didnt charge him for but that's not enough for him some people cannont let things go.

Ya the only threads that are "allowed" to stay are the positive ones.. any negative feedback, especially on Vortex, is promptly deleted if you are a registered vendor.. I've seen it happen many times over the years..

Everyone makes mistakes, im sure if you paid Ryan back, maybe even stretched to an apology then this thread could be deleted then you would probably make that £600 back tenfold without this thread sullying your business name
