is that normal??
i looked at the o-rings and no tears, but bubbles go whizzing by when i shake the filter, although the engine never hesitates.

i'm thinking its not normal, but the engine only minds when its been sitting.
also how can i delete a thread i started??

I had the same problem for a long time, did the same routine replaced filter,
replaced the Thermal T and O rings but it did not cure it.
what I did, I opened the fuel tank capped the intake fuel line ,
opened the other end of the intake fuel hose at the filter, hooked a mityvac
and pulled vacum and it was leaking slowly . I did the same test for the return fuel line and this one was not leaking. I suspect the line itself is not air tight. since I didn't have the time I just swapped the return and intake line
at the tank and on fuel filter and since then no bubbles.
the fuel sender was intact and no cracks, just cleaned it.

An occasional bubble is normal, but if you are getting alot of air or bubbles then you have a leak to need to fine. The T-'s often leak and new o-rings may fix it, there are also T-by pass you can do. Look at the how too's.
Where are the "how too's'

Will the air bubbles in the clear line disappear after awhile if there are no leaks?
