Needs a new transmission and right now I'm not able to make that happen. Body is rust free. Engine runs great - 35K on a new timing belt. Almost new Continental tires. Needs a home. We're in SC on the Georgia side. $1200 and you can actually drive it home! Shifts hard, but does shift.

There are just too many to list....
Sounds like it just needs some solenoids and a temp sensor. At worst a valve body.

Great deal for someone! Good luck!

That's the advice you gave me earlier in the year. It's nothing I know how to do, and the VW folks around here didn't want to touch it. We don't have any gurus around hear, so I ended up taking it across the state. They concurred with your advice on the solenoids, but wanted way too much to do the job. They wanted triple the cost of solenoids that are recommended on TDI, wanted weeks to do it, and didn't even want to do a warranty. I brought it home. Now we're moving and it needs to go. Heck, the Continentals cost me $600+
