VW rim size for the B7

Looking to get some 16" rims for winter tires. Will most other model VW rims fit the B7? Any list of good/bad fits would be apprecaited.

The bolt pattern on all 2005.5+ jettas, Rabbit / Golf, and the 98+ Passat are the same, I don't know about offsets though.

There is a thread on V-tex about this in the B7 forum. It indicates that the newer Jetta rims will fit but they have a different offset. It lists the offset... but I don't remember what it is. The Jetta rims are available at TireRack for $45-$50, but no listing for Passat rims.

I just picked up a new in the box set of 16X7 ET42 audi "abitos" winter rims off craigs list. They should fit, if not i'll be pissed.

General Artic Claws studded will be going on. I just need to find/adapt some center caps.

I just bought a set of these, new in the box. $80 each, no centers, they are VW Audi wheels, 16 inch X 6 wide, 5X112MM, they fit over the front calipers. I plan on a set of 205-65-16's.

why not 215-60-16 the stock size? want a narrower tire for snows?

Also you know the offsett of those rims?

I don't know the offset, but from measuring, they run inside the existing rim footprint, inside and outside.
I like the narrower tire for snow, they are slightly taller than the stock 18's, the 215-60-16's are slightly shorter.
