I have a 1997 jetta tdi (salvage title) with 285K and still kickin.The past 2 years it was non-stop commuting 220 miles a day and got 50mph fairweather and 45mph cold.Ran B-100 for 2 summers and still got 50 till they got rid of it cuz of demand.Bought it with 150k on it and two sets of rear brngs and 1 set of front,a few eletrical/mechanical issues,and a manifold clean(restricted size of a nickle)and it is still a turn key car.Winters in Mn. are harsh but a little planning ahead and there are no problems.This trooper has passed 4WDs stuck in a drift on the road...just went around them sliding over and through the drifts.-20 degrees and a bad starter it fired up when fuelly gas were not so fortunate.LOVE this car and plan to drive the paint off it, just need to navigate this site better to learn more for tech support and info to extend its life.............
