I want to use the gauge cluster and electric fan out of the Passat so I thought I would reconnect the Passat fuse box in the Toyota.

Then I connected
H1/01 ( starter run ) to toyota ST ( BW )
H1/02 ( battery power ) to toyota AM
H1/03 ( run power ) to Toyota IG
H1/04 ( start ) to Toyota IG
H1/10 ( power when off ) to switched 12v

Resulted in nothing except the cluster chiming when I tried to crank the motor

What do I need to do?

If the clutch and brake pedal position switches are not used do I just ground them so they act as if they are "open"?

I have the clutch pedal switch F36, brake pedal switch f47, but I don't think I removed the brake switch F. Where was that one located?

I left all my clutch and brake switches ungrounded ie. not connected for my initial start up and it started no problem.

Did you use the h1 plug on the fuse box or wire directly to the Ecu
