TB change NOT listed in owners manual for 2001 nb

My service manual only lists recommendations for 40K TB change for auto transmission.
There is no mention of 5-speed TB change at any interval 60k 80k or 100k, !!!
Maybe I'll follow the service manual "to a t" (does any one think they' give me a new motor after 100K?

You're certainly welcome to try that, but start saving your lunch money for a new motor....

They won't give you a new one even though you can argue about it all you want simply they made a misprint. It even shows the same misprint on the VW site for schedule maintainance. But is getting a lawyer and all that worth the cost of a new engine? I think not. I have a 2001 and changed my belt accordingly.

If you want to do it then be my guest. Let me know when the belt breaks and the miles on the odometer.
