I have searched the forum, looking for info on the part numbers for the arp main studs for the alh. I see them on darkside developments, but no part number. I am close to summit racing and just want to pick them up.
Whoops. I must have grabbed the wrong part number from my list.ID parts has it listed as 5402

well, those high RPM main bearing issues may be the oil pump cavitating, not the fault of the block's rigidityI haven't heard of any ALH main bearing issues with ARL 12.9 bolts in up to 430 bhp builds - except in those that rev past 8000 rpm.
I built my ALH for 300+hp. I can give you a run down of what I did if you’d like.
Sorry man I didn’t check to see if you replied hah.
This is just internals
1.9 alh bored to 2.0
BHW pistons
Rosten H beam roads with arp bolts
Stock main bearings
Stock crank with stock mains and arp main bolts
New oil pump/chain & sprokets
Hybrid alumina/steel oil pan
Alh oil squirters
AMC head with over sized intake and exhaust valves
Duel valve springs
Arp head studs
Colt stage 3 cam
Might be other things I forgot.
AMC head is a mistake. They don't last. I got 20,000 out of an ALH head bought brand new. Frank Irving can chime in on them but they're not the same alloy that VW uses so they just don't last.
