AUDI A3 8P Airbag replacement?

Hello.

I recently had a car accident where was airbag activated (steering + co). I replaced the airbags and erased DTC's with VAG-COM.
And now it shows me everything is OK. But I'm not sure that this is everythig whether it is necessary to do anything special? Reset the airbag module?

You may need to change the airbag sensors

Should VAG-COM show this error or not, whether it is necessary to replace the sensor?
If I reset airbag module, it is not necessary to replace the sensor or it is?
Is more reliable to buy new sensors?
