These parts are from a 200,000 mile 1998 jetta that broke a timing belt.
The engine was running well before the timing belt snapped. The head was trashed with bent valves and lifters squashed and stuck in their bores. The pistons on the bottom end do not show any damage from contacting the valves. I do not see any obvious evidence of bent rods in the bottom end, but I am not a machinist and do not have the skills to check for bent rods. One other point about the bottom end. This engine has a lot of corrosion on the outside (rust and white aluminum oxide).
The injector pump should be ok, but again has visible rust on the outside. The turbo is a kkk type and should be ok, but keep in mind this engine had 200,000 miles. The vacuum pump on the engine is broken - I snapped off the nozzle trying to remove a hose.
Other parts available include the exhaust manifold, valve cover, upper timing belt cover, plastic oil pan cover, and other stuff in the pictures.
I just finished putting a junkyard engine in the car and want this stuff out of my garage. Prices are reasonable.
