2000 TDI ..Glow plugs are new ...relay checks out...as does the harness...Injection timing also done...The plugs do not stay on long enough to start this vehicle when its cold...any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can try to disconnect the temp sensor to force the GPs on. What temps are you experiencing in Maine? The GPs don't function over 40 degrees.

Are you just talking about the first start of the day?

What is the mileage on the car and have you had recent services performed?

If in doubt, HermTDI is in Maine and you can probably schedule a look with him.

How cold is 'cold'? 'Cold' to a Mainer would kill a Californian. 'Cold' to a Californian would roast a Mainer.
