Hello, i was wondering if anyone had any advice.

I've recently gotten an 1992 audi 80 tdi 1z , which had a failed injection pump. I couldnt find one with an early style rounded 7pin plug, so i decided that i will use a newer style 7pin connector with the newer design . All is well except the car will not start, it is getting fuel pressure to the injectors. The fuses and relays are all good, the car ran on brake cleaner ( i know thats bad, i just did it to test the engine) . I also cannot connect to the ecu using vag-com, it has the 2 black and white connectors, the fuse is good. Any ideas anyone?

I have the adapter for it, it just wont connect. And also the car cranks fine, can it be a compression issue if the car runs on brake cleaner?

Also, the car stopped while it was driving, it just shut off and didnt start again. I found damage in the pump and replaced it, but it still wont run.
