Hello!

I have read about voltage regulators but i can't find the thread anymore...

What is the supposed voltage output? I have read somewhere that Bosch regulators did not give enough voltage output. My alternator actually gives about 14.0 Volts but my not so old battery seems to have hard time on the mornings.

I think i remember reading that it should be something like 14.5 or 14.8 volts...

Just needed that info!

thanks
g.b.

My Bosch 120 amp alternator puts out between 13.5 and 14.0 volts depending on the ambient temperatures. Lower in the Summer and higher in Winter. I have a digital volt meter in my cig. lighter that agrees with the readings on my SG.

The range is generally seen to be 13.5-14.5, depending on temperature, so you're fine.

North of 14.5 starts to boil the battery.
