TDI Production Numbers for different models?

Is there a listing of the TDI production numbers for different markets for each model and year? This would be a great piece of reference information. I looked for this info in the FAQ section, and did a search. If you could assist in helping me find this information I would be thankful.

After additional research I found the following information:
VW Retail Sales
Year USA Canada
1993 49533 21838
1994 97043 26194
1995 115114 22494
1996 135907 25328
1997 137885 24811
1998 219679 37763
1999 315563 42000
2000 355479 43138

These are total sales figures. Does anyone know how to find the number of TDI sales for these years?

How many Passat TDI Wagons were produced?

Hello,

Just piggybacking on this thread. Does anybody know how many 2004 and 2005 Passat TDI Wagons were produced for the US market? And how many were produced at each trim levels i.e. GL GLS etc.

Thanks to a tip from forum member leicaman, I went to passatworld.com and contacted passatworld member traubenberg who had all the info on production numbers of all 2000-2005 Passats sold in the US.

Here is what he found for me....



2004 - 2005 Sedan GL =1137 GLS = 7605 Total = 8742
2004 - 2005 Wagon GL = 477 GLS = 3842 Total = 4319

Total 2004 - 2005 TDI production =13061


2004 Sedan GL = 263 GLS = 2075 Total = 2338
2004 Wagon GL = 96 GLS = 787 Total = 883

Total 2004 TDI production = 3221

2005 Sedan GL = 874 GLS = 5530 Total = 6404
2005 Wagon GL = 381 GLS = 3055 Total = 3436

Total 2005 TDI production = 9840
