timing adjustment?

I just purchased me a vag com this week and need to know some of the basics like timing adj. and so on

It does not mention that the pump pully bolts are torque to yeild and you need to get replacements to adjust timing, preferably not torque to yield.

Just the earlier A4 cars. However, they only way you will know for sure is to pull one and check. If they have a narrow neck just below the bolt head, they are TTY.

Keep in mind that it only takes a TINY movement of the nut on the IP shaft to produce a major change in timing. Be patient and get a feel for it.

Good lord does it ever. I put a wrench on it and just kinda think about moving it and its different.
