2000 jetta GTB2568, 1929 model A Tudor sedan Chopped with a Mercedes drive-train, 1956 international s-100 4bt powered, London taxi, 1965 mustang 347 stroker, twin supercharged, my only gas car!
Classic GTB2565VK will do over 400hp and cost is under 1000.
My current turbo is slightly larger than that, I'm looking for more power Im running a GTB2568VK

Do you have a dyno run to post? What numbers do you have ? Around here 2565 setups do 430-440hp with high egt i imagine.

Plenty of 1.9 running close to 400, going 11.8s in street class (full weight)
That power is on the 2.0 engines

This is 1.9 engine below , diesel only from poland

So those are with superior gtb25?

BigTurboAlh, I would use 0.63 a/r as single or 0.75 a/r twin with correct manifold or with quick spool valve. Quite big ones they are, still. There is also 0.48 a/r housing but i think that might get bit restrictive on higher revs and high boost.

Courios on what it’d spool like my 6cm hx30 is roughly .41 with a ported wastegate

It should be spooling from 3000-3500rpm and having full boost around 4000-4500rpm full loaded. It has been told spooling same as hx35 8cm but providing more oomph. As it is drag racing car I wouldnt be worried, since you can use for example shot of nos for off the line spoolup.

Very curious as to how one of these roughly 400HP engines would do in a land speed racing application, with wide open throttle for up to 5 miles. Even de-tuned to 350 HP, an engine of that caliber could readily break the existing records in 2 liter diesel truck and streamliner classes.

If egt and PCP are not sky high it should not be a problem.
At 350hp egt is quite low on these gtb2565 with the new tw.

Never heard of such records, here its only 100-200km/h acceleration or 402m drag racing.

The turbo is definitely not limiting performance in an ALH but the VE injection system. It can be resolved by brute force with an upgraded pump, very large hole nozzles and competent tuning to orchestrate everything together.
