**Meant P1556 in the Title..**

Please help. i'm a noob.. I was on a road trip home yesterday my Beetle just started having no power... originally i thought i got some bad diesel because it happened after i filled up... but now i'm getting a P1556 code and unplugging the MAF doesn't help at all...

I thought the problem was solved this morning when i drove to work, everything was fine, then at lunch i went and took it out on the highway, plenty of power all the way up to 90MPH.. then i stopped and turned around.... NO POWER AGAIN... what would cause it to just randomly come back to low power mode?? Something not working at Temp?

Help...

That is limp mode - negative boost deviation. Start reading the limp mode stickie.
Do the suggested diagnosis steps.

Multiple threads arent likely to get you far, do your research like others have suggested and you will fix your problem. There are too many possibilities for limp mode so you need to follow the limp mode thread and do the diagnosis.
