Mercedes will start selling a diesel hybrid E Class in Europe some time this year.They displayed it at the Detriot Auto Show last January.It's rated at 55mpg highway and has 550 ft lbs of combined torque.One would think that VW could easily develop something similar but with lower torque and even better mileage.
