I have a 98 Jetta TDI. I have recently lost that rubber plug that is on the bottom of the intercooler. It is located at the lowest point of the intercooler to drain it.
I went to my local VW dealership and they could not find a part number. We even printed out the ETKA diagram, but that did not show it.
Any ideas on a part number or where to get one?

That must be an added (and unnecessary) item. Removing the lower hose is more effective as that is the lowest point.
Just figure out how to stop up the DPO's (dreaded prior owner) toof of your intercooler and drive on.

never heard of a drain point on any IC. Take it tothe car wash and clean that IC and replug if possible. If plugging is not possible then replace it.

YEAH! Get a hard plug(weld/melt), for that thing and forget about it!

The I.C. hose remove and replace works great and the best part is that it lets you see what amount of oil has accumulated from the turbo in there...
