While checking my glow plugs I apparently disturbed the fuel return line between two injectors (or is it supply? the short ones, cloth covered.) and now it leaks fuel all over the place. Is this something I can replace today if I get to an auto parts store in time? IF so, what am I looking for?

Flexible fuel hose of the correct ID.

My local hardware store has some clear vinyl tube with a THICK WALL that works very well. It is orange tinted. $0.50 a foot so I couldn't justify using the cloth-covered Viton tube.

Just make sure it is FUEL RATED. I also secured it with a double wrap of 28 gauge stainless steel wire.

You don't really need the wire, do you? Seems to me that the return isn't under much pressure. But, even more so, I'd be worried that if I tried it myself, I'd break the barb, even with 28 ga wire.
