Conv 2002 VW 337 6 Speed GTI Tranny into a 2003 Golf TDI

Has anyone ever done this before? Also does anyone know the stock gear ratios/final drive on the stock 2003 golf tranny and the 337 tranny?

What I gather from these are no on the US GTI and yes on the Euro Spec DRW. Eurospec here I come lol

Or the ERF code works in additon to the DRW.

You may be able to re-gear a gas 6-speed for less than you can import a DRW or ERF. I seem to remember a price of around $2400-$2500 for a DRW.

I would check out that option... it's much safer, and you can get custom gearing. talk to HO'OLAKO, I believe he's regeared his vehicle.
