Has anyone used this kit or is it suicide for the engine?

Forget that cheap Chinese crap a much better choice is linked above. Trusted vendor quality parts. Of course if you use the eBay kit there will be some interest in your $300 car about 1 month after you install said kit. A kit like that is the quickest way to deduct value from your car.

The forum vendors put together kits of which the components are selected individually for their quality.

But for less than thirteen bucks you can get a warranty so if the pump fails and takes out your engine you can get a new pump.

Other websites should take note of how easy it is to get the right parts you need.
I only wish they shipped from the West coast as well as back East.
It takes me a week to get my stuff.
Cascade German is in Portland, and also a vendor here.
I ordered my timing belt kit from them and had them in my hands two days later. I had my new IP the next day.
That said, I have no problem with using IDparts, FixMyVW, or any of the other vendors here on the site, just suggesting a local shop to those of us in the NW US.
