Hey guys, in the middle of the timing belt/water pump change. Water pump is being a bugger to come out, I don't have a 'water pump removal tool'. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ian

Slap it with a rubber mallet in various directions.

Use pry bar or very large screwdriver to pry it out. Try various angles and positions.

It is usually just the oring glued in place by dried coolant.

Yup, thanx just got it out.

Ended up putting the top bolt back in and using a screw driver to pry the pump out against that bolt while pulling up on the pump with my hand. Had to start with the bolt mostly the way in and back it out slowly.

Just had to get mad at it!
