Anybody know if the Euro 1.6 16V head will bolt onto a 1.9? Does it have flow capabilities exceeding the 1.9 8v head? Thank you Stephen

Thank you

Thats to bad. I was hoping that with some porting, it would out flow a done up 8V, and not require block boring like the 2.0 BKD head. Appreciate your help. best regards Stephen

Not sure where above information is from, but I have flow tested 2.0CR, which out flows 8v with good margin and flows also better than stock BKD.

Ryan was talking about the 1.6 litre 16V head. I was hoping that swapping my ported 1.9 8V head for a ported 1.6 16V head would be a benefit. Apparently not. Maybe I did not mention the porting the first time. My apologies. Stephen

Pistons are different, combustion chamber is centered on all the 16v engines instead of offset as on all the 8v engines. Just making sure you know ...

Forgot About that

Yes you are right. Forgot there are no 1.9 pistons with centered combustion pockets like the 2.0 and 1.6. Maybe I could rework the chamber to offset towards the middle a little. make it more oval. I was just trying to avoid removing the motor to bore to 2.0 litre, but it seems it is unavoidable. Thank you all. Stephen
