What TDI to buy next? 98 and 01 RIP

I have driven second hand TDI's since 2004. My ALU was a beast and my ALH was a lemon when I purchased it. Both are retired now and I am shopping for which TDI to buy next. My commute 125 miles round trip 5 days a week.

My question, what are the pros and cons or advantages and disadvantaged between BEW vs. CBE vs. CRU? I have been in an ALH for so long I have not kept up to date.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I’d find a 2011-2014 CR 2.0, do the Malone tune and DPF delete and enjoy a fun to drive fuel efficient car. My 2013 would average low 50s mpg on every highway drive. Prior to the updates it would hover at around 44mpg average.
