UPDATE: I think I should have posted this in the OBD scanner forum, will probably get my answer there. Sorry to cross post.
I just started using a Ross-Tech micro-can cable, and am wondering if it is safe to scan the Mk7 airbag module.
Reason I'm asking, is that on Mk4's sometimes a scan of the airbag module would set off a permanent airbag light which could not be turned off. My Mk4 has the airbag model which is affected by this, so I never scanned it, even with auto-scan.
Hopefully this isn't an issue with the Mk7's, I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me if it's OK. Thanks
