NE Tennessee mechanic?

Hi all,
We moved to the Johnson City, TN area a few months ago. I'm looking for someone to service my 2002 Golf TDi. I have found the local dealer is, well, a local dealer.
Any recommendations?

I don't know how up-to-date the map is, but it looks like Asheville is the closest to you.

I agree with Rally. He's a great mechanic. However, I've been trying to contact him by phone and email for 2 or 3 weeks, and haven't heard back. I've left messages, but no response. According to one of the vendors, he's still buying parts. If you wanted to drive over, you might catch him.

another great mechanic is MF AUTO in Knoxville. I've had lots of work done there before I found Daniel at Appalachian. His rates are much better, but they have several on staff, so you will get an answer.

I've had good luck with MF Auto in Knoxville, TN. Not the cheapest, but always good work, and very professional.
