can i use a power side mirror housing for a manual

I have to replace my 2 manual side mirrors on my jetta. went to the local u pull it junk yard. all i can find are power ones. I actually found two the same color (green, the color i need) but they are power from a 2000 mine is a 99.5 . can i convert them or just use the housing. thanks

They bolt right in place just the same.
Only con is you will have to adjust them (if ever needed) physically by hand.

Finding a pair in matching color is big bonus points.

Just pop the mirror out, then take the cover off. Yes!
