No TDI's :(
I just picked up a 88 Tin Top Samurai from the Nevada dessert! I'm already prepping for the 1.6TD conversion. I have to source the engine, but in the meantime I'm getting started with other items.

I have a very nice set of Golf Recaros that were installed in my now dead MK4 Jetta. I plan to put them in the Samurai, but in all my research can't seem to find a good mounting option since the are side mounted with rollers in a track. Anyone have any ideas? Do I need to cut the track off the frame in the Jetta? Seems easy enough to fabricate the front mount in the center and weld it on, but I'm a little stumped on the sides.

I tried it, it sucked. The recaros were so big and fat, and I'm a big guy, didn't have enough room. I ended up getting a set of suzuki swift GTI recaro type seats that are much smaller and not so bulky, and they're super comfortable.
