Ah,yes I used self adhesive rubber weather stripping.
A friend has a velocimeter,it is sucking around 3cfm @ 2000rpm.
Also forgot to mention that the hood plenum is 20g. steel.

I was using a super stant 195º thermostat and the temp was getting up to 214º on a 70º day when pushing it up hill,
so I changed it out to an OEM VW 188º (from IDParts) and the temp. dropped 6º.
Still to warm for my liking,so I just happened to have an RX7 oil cooler laying around and decided to hook it up.
Pushing it up the same hill today(temp was 65º) it got no hotter than 192º.I am real happy with the outcome.
Some photos...

Very cool. literally. I may have to do that. Was there enough threads on the bottom cap to sandwich the stock cooler and adapter on there or did you use the longer cap screw with the thinner ALH oil cooler?

The temps, you mentioned... was that your coolant or oil temperature?

Any reason you didn’t go with a thermostatic sandwich plate?

Those are the coolant temps.I don't have an oil temp. gage yet.
One thing I noticed is the coolant temp. drops faster after shutoff.
The RX7 cooler has a switch in it that opens at 149º.

I’m surprised that thing weighs that much.

Postimg, changed their tags from .org to .cc, a few months ago. It’s an easy fix...

Without all Toyota running gear and thick walled bumpers, sliders, and roll cage
it would probably be 500 lbs. lighter.
Yeah just caught the postimg change, thanx for the info.

I thought your knuckles looked as old as mine, I couldn't sit and watch the whole thing, made me want to go drive around!
