hey guys, me again, my VW is running great, but one of my friends goes to high school. they brew biodiesel and run it in a diesel truck. The truck is getting old, so they applied for a $5,000 pepsi "refresh everything" grant to fix it. heres her facebook post. yes, you heard me right. HER post.

Dear everyone,
My qual/organic chem class has applied for a grant via Pepsi Refresh to fix our diesel truck that we use the biodiesel fuel that we make in class on. We need your help. Only the top 10 spots get the grant. Please vote at http://www.refresheverything.com/ for the "trick our truck" entry (look under $5000 grant category and click on sort by leaders/top votes. we're currently 11th or 12th) or by texting 102769 to Pepsi (73774) . Vote Early, Vote often. Everyday until Oct 31st. :) Thank you! :)

so 1 text every day to that number helps high school kids keep making bio. seriously worth it IMO.

thanks!

-Joe

P.S. make sure to text 102769 to Pepsi (73774) every day until Oct 31.

more details!

its a '91 Ram 350, and its engine runs fine (obviously, i mean, its a diesel, right?), just its bed and cab are rusted and it needs alot of body work. if they get it runnign again the plan is to rent it to community members to fund the student's non-profit research.

check out the page http://www.refresheverything.com/ for leaders. sort the ideas at the top by leaders, instead of shuffle. right now they are #12 "trick our truck". they need to be in the top 10 for the grant.

this link is directly to their page http://www.refresheverything.com/trickourtruck

you can vote for them online too if you really wanna help out.

thanks again!

Your school is making biodiesel?

Where's your application form?

Where I am the caf is proudly boasting they're taking the fryer grease (and they use a lot of fryer grease) away to make biodiesel - which I suppose is more profitable than the cosmetics they were using it for previously.
