Heyas,
I'd just like to get a little confidence in my upcoming purchase of a salvaged 2001 VW Passat (regular gasoline), so I can use some of the body parts, and namely the rear suspension in my 2005 VW Passat B5.5 TDI.
I was in an accident last year so the body parts need some replacing. That should work fine since from what I understand the 2001-2005 body parts are all the same. The rear suspension got messed up and I supposedly need a new rear balancer beam and maybe more.
I'd like to know if I can foresee any incompatibility with swapping the rear suspension (balancer beam, shocks, struts) in my TDI with the rear suspension parts from this salvaged 2001 Passat I'm about to purchase. Does anyone know if the parts should swap okay or if they are incompatible?
