After wanting to perform bodily harm to the various dealers around Missouri - (I had to drive 2 hours to get to a dealer from where I live...) I found a TDI that fit my budget.
She's a 2000 GLS TDI 5 speed Raven Black New Beetle. Really in fantastic shape. I looked at a beetle locally and thought it was a piece of junk. Now I realize that it had simply been abused. No sun roof on her, but the price was right. I had to eat it on my trade in, which was due for at least $1000 of work so I'm not too surprised about it.
I'd post a picture, but it's been raining since I got her.
My neighbor has a black 2002 Turbo bug, and she pointed out how to use a few things.
