Are there any Cons to the ventectomy mod? Is there anything different you have to do when you fill up your tank? Any input would be great. DT:confused:

No cons.

Just fill it up slow towards the end to let all the air get out, you'll hear it escaping.

Con:
You end up putting more fuel in, so it looks like you're spending more.

(Thats as close to a con as i can think of.)

You mean you can't just will the fuel from the tank at the pump, into your tank?

Practice you must young sootwalker! Yes yes, torque comes from within. Only from evil comes poor thermal efficiency and high free carbon output.

Cons: You might get annoyed driving other cars that don't get 600 miles per tank.
Huge Con, especially on road trips. People look at you funny when they have stopped for gas a couple of times and you say, "ohh I just stopped to use the bathroom"

That's my favorite excuse.

"Why are you stopping, I thought the TDI is so efficient"

"I have to stop or I'll burst, TDI still got 200 miles to go, I can't hold it that long"

I don't have that problem, I made it about 700 miles with out going to the bathroom(Alabama to Michigan).
