Ignition switch same on 97 Passat/98 Jetta

I have a spare ignition switch for my 97 Passat. Now the switch on my 98 Jetta is getting hinky (Have to jiggle the key to get the lights and AC on sometimes) Did both vehicles use the same ignition switch or do I need to order one for my Jetta?
