Ok, I finally got my insurance money, so I can finally sell, but I have to wait until I get the salvage title before I can officially sell/transfer ownership.
Backstory: I purchased this car from Cristian at Synergy Motors in Irving, TX on March 5, 2010, right after he put in about $2k worth of minor repairs and maintenance (listed below). On March 9, 2010, the car was parked in the street right outside my house and an unlicensed, uninsured teenager plowed it into my neighbors front yard. My insurance called it a total loss, but I bought it back from them to sell to you (and so I can recuperate the rest of my loss since obviously insurance doesn't value TDIs as much as we do). Everything under the hood is in top condition for it's age/mileage and so is the interior (cloth) and the exterior parts that weren't hit. It still runs! But only forward - I need to borrow a crowbar to pry the bent frame away from the rear wheel so it can move in reverse - not that it's legally drivable.
Stats:
106,450 miles
I would be the 3rd owner (not including the 2 dealerships it sat at during Jan and Fed 2010)
Previously clean Carfax (which shows regular maintenance - I assume at VW dealership while under warranty)
Black exterior, dark gray cloth interior
5 spd transmission
Repairs/replacements/maintenance done first week of March 2010 at 106k miles (done by Cristian @ Synergy Motors and VW TDI mechanic Marin "jetta ,97" (http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=251621):
New full TB kit w/ water pump and all seals replaced
diesel injection pumps seals
new filters: air, oil, fuel/diesel
new synthetic engine oil (Rottela synthetic), transmission fluid and antifreeze
new control arm bushings with alignment
new alternator pulley
new rear brake pads (front pads have 5-7k miles left)
one window switch replaced
brake light switch replaced
air flow meter
coolant temp sensor
thermostat
Price: $3000 OBO as is for the whole thing. I'm not parting it out.
You, or an agent, are more than welcome set an appointment to come look at it. I should have some availability this weekend and next week to show it. Please remember I'm still waiting to receive the salvage title before I can legally sell it, but I wanted to post the ad to get the ball rolling.
