Unhappy fuel consumption

Hey I just had a recall done on my 2010 golf wagon TDI they did 2 things the damper on the fuel line ( I think) and a software update ,and now since that has been done my fuel consumption seems to to be more than it was when I fill up the range on the computer tells me that the range on a full tank is 750 km and I use to get over 500 to half a tank approx now i dont even reach that has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks

How are you measuring the mileage? It sounds like you are relying on the on-board computer. That computer is good at giving you a sorta right number, but generally they don't provide really accurate/consistent results.

I agree with Joe. Better to do the old school pencil and paper calculation. The fuel line recall won't decrease mpg or L/100km. What was the software update ? DSG update on an auto tranny by any chance ?
