Let's see those TDIs with 800k miles or more.

You'll probably be one of the first.

Kind of funny because when I sold you that spare tire a few years back, yours was around 5-600k iirc
where I've only added about 30k miles to my odo in that time

Has anyone got to a million yet?
Here's a Minnesota guy who hit one million miles in a 1998 New Beetle, back in November 2014. His odometer froze at 999,999. His son filmed the event and I recognize East River Road where it merges into Coon Rapids Blvd.

He says he drives from the Twin Cities to La Crosse and back, every day. It's all freeway driving, 170 miles each way from Coon Rapids which is probably his starting point.

800k miles today

On August 5, 2016, my 2003 Tornado Red Golf rolled past 600k miles. I uploaded this photo a couple of months later on November 5, 2016. That was the day that Eric Merker rolled back the odometer by exactly 400k miles, from 612,443 to 212,443 miles.

Today the odometer hit 400k miles. 400k + 400k = 800k miles actual. (Sorry about the terrible photo.) I plan to get a VCDS screenshot in a few days; the last time I compared VCDS distance to odometer distance there was a discrepancy of about 300 miles or so, as I recall.

I'm more amazed the guy was ok with being seen driving in a beetle for that long. Pretty dry dude but car doesn't owe him a dime after a million miles.

I'm even more amazed that he did it in MN and the road salt hasn't totally consumed the body and underneath parts. My 2001 Jetta is looking pretty bad and my '99 Suburban has had some real bad corrosion issues (some of that is thanks to Ontario). Fuel tank, frame mount reciever hitch, brake lines, etc all recently replaced.

Oh in Texas my TDIs are shiny clean here. Not a lick of rust. I forgot how bad the road salt was up there since they don't use it here :)
Now my truck is a different story. Used for pulling bay fishing rig and spends alot of time on the beach shark fishing. That is a losing battle.
