B5 > B5.5 Cluster Swap Done - Temp Gauge not working

I bought a cluster 3b0 920 927 AX cluster and it works! Programmed the Immo3 keys, mileage set, soft codings entered all works fine (including DTE woohoo!).

My problem has come up that my temp sensor doesnt work in the cluster - it reads "----deg c"

My vagcom codes coming up are as follows:

00779 - Outside Air Temp Sensor (G17)
30-10 - Open or Short to B+ - Intermittent
00779 - Outside Air Temp Sensor (G17)
29-10 - Short to Ground - Intermittent
My previous cluster was 3b0 920 922 A and I've since unplugged the new cluster to replugin the old one and temp works fine, as it also does on the climatronic.

Car is a B5 TDI 110 AFN Estate/Wagon

Anyone else run into this problem doing their cars, I'm tempted that the temp sender wires go to different pins on the B5.5 clusters but I really dont have any wiring diagrams for either new/old.

Thanks!
