My 06 Golf TDI converted to run on SVO began to loose power on diesel and I swapped out the fuel filter. It ran 20 miles and quit. I have power to my PD In-Tank Lift Pump (part # IJ0919050) and it does not run or pump fuel. Is it a good idea to just leave it there, disable it and install the Lift pump, Walbro FRB-11 as described in post

Sounded like a neat and simple solution as the part from from TDI parts is
$259. And I would still have my fuel gauge if I left it in.
Thanks, chris
PS I run my SVO Plantdrive system with the VO Controller and all my wiring is directed to the tank so to install in elsewhere would require re-routing my wire.

That should work fine since the pump output on both pumps is about equal (~7 psi). I'm not familiar w/ the differences between the ALH no-pump in-tank sender and the PD version w/ pump but you might want to perform a bypass or something. Search for threads on this technique by user leftcoastresident.

I have the FRB-11 in my ALH.
