Need Help with Grille Cover for 2012 A3 TDI

Planning to fabricate a grille cover for the coming winter. Got tired of the foam pipe insulation and want something more finished looking. Are there any specific areas on the upper or lower grille that should not be covered? Thanks guys!

I'm making my own.

Purchased faux leather, $5 at Hobby Lobby. I'm planning on sewing a felt backing to it for a softer padding. Attach 3 elastic bands on top and bottom and attach the grill cover under the car and under the hood with little metal hooks for a snug fit.

Will end up being around a $10 project plus labor.

I'll post up pictures this weekend, hoping to get it done by then.
