Trunk latch issue 2001 TDI

Had my car painted and since i got back in noticed that i need to really slam it to get the thing to shut. Latch seems to work fine but it looks like it was adjusted a little ( it is closer to the trunk lid itself) Can someone direct me where on this site to either take the assembly off to clean it and grease it or a thread showing how to adjust them.

On the trunk lid, the felt covered liner is held on by phillips headed screws. Look carefully as the screws are also sort of felt covered and kind of blend into the fabric.

Remove this liner and you should have good access to your truck latch mechanism.

cool thanks i iam going to do this tonight as well as destud my tires to run them completly out since they will not make it through another winter.
