We made our Seat Ibiza ready for the new 2011 Dutch Time Attack series.
Not much changed in setup compared to last year due big lack of time..
Same engine with same setup: PD130 @ 300 hp / 525 Nm.
Only upgrade was bit wider front fenders with allows us to make it 5 cm wider and 2 cm lower.
Time was 2 seconds faster than last year so we're really happy.
The class which we had to drive was a bit to much for the small diesel..
10th place finally..
First was a 800/900 hp skyline which was 5 seconds faster..
Hard to compete to such cars..
But for the next round it will be quite a lot faster when we have time to work out our plans :D

TT circuit Assen.
Really nice track, but really wide and high speed corners..
Not the best for a small car which is designed to do grocery with.. :D

Looking good. Not sure how long the whole circuit is, but 5 seconds does not sound like much of a difference compared to an 800-900hp Skyline, especially if over say a circuit which takes one minute to one minute 30 to complete?

That's a several minute track with a few spots were 900hp will make some distance on 300hp! that's not bad to be down only a few seconds, I'm sure the torque and down load hp is so much better in the turns then the high hp cars.

What have you done to the engine on this? Much uprated internally?

Also, what handling mods do you have?

Looking at entering mine in the UK Time Attack series next year, so would love a bit more info on this Ibiza.

300hp without headwork? I'm assuning the cam helps a lot?

I hope to get to 300hp on my stock BKD with Bolt on mods!

Still would like to know more about this car!

How have you widened the track at the front? Just by using spacers? Also, how have you widened the arches?
Your car is exactly how I had set out to make mine look, and perform, with the same idea of racing it in time attack.

Have you fitted and air-oil cooler?

im pretty sure you can only widen the track with tyres and rims . spacers wont be allowed on a track for safety reasons or at least they arnt over here

We use plates for making the wishbones longer.
Driveshafts made longer.
adjustable topmounts.
20 mm spacers @ front
Wider wheels and tires.
We custom made the fenders.
Car can drive a lot lower and wider now :)
No oil cooler, everything stock.

Audi A2 suspension parts are wider and lighter than Ibiza/Fabia/Polo.

What boost pressure are you running to get almost 300hp on a stock head?

Didn't know from the A2 parts, good info :)
About 2.2/2.3 bar boost.

Also a customer drove Time Attack with his TDI:

CR170 with 210 hp & 440 Nm.
